Death anniversary
Today is the 20th death anniversary of Advocate Md Azizur Rahman, one of the organisers of the War of Liberation.
He was a close associate of Huseyn Shaheed Suhrawardy and Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
He was the editor and publisher of weekly Awaz.
Azizur worked with the Mujib Nagar Government as civil affairs adviser. He was an elected member of Pakistan National Assembly and also a member of Constitutional Assembly, which was formed for drafting the first constitution of Bangladesh.
