Miscreants killed a student of a private university and dumped the body at a hill-slope under Kotwali Police Station in the port city yesterday. On information, police recovered the body of Mohammad Kafil Uddin, 22, from the slope near Jamiatul Falah Jaam-e-Mosque around 10:00am. Kafil, a 2nd-year student of Computer Science department of International Islamic University Chittagong (IIUC) and son of Mohammad Rafik, was residing near Chatteswary Road. Police said the body bore some marks of injury in his neck while the tendon of his right hand was cut off. OC Abul Kalam Azad of the police station suspected that miscreants might have stabbed Kafil to death somewhere and dumped the body in the area. Quoting victim's family members, the OC said Kafil went out of his residence at 7:00pm on Sunday to go to his village home in Anwara upazila.
