Kuwait to provide $50,000 to Bangladesh
The government of Kuwait will provide US$ 50,000 to Bangladesh in grant this year.
The grant is part of Kuwait's contribution to the five-year Health, Population and Nutrition Sector Strategic Plan (HPNSSP) 2011-2016 undertaken by the health ministry, said a Kuwait Embassy press release in Dhaka yesterday.
The government will implement the project in collaboration with its development partners. “This grant is a reflection of the deep-commitment of Kuwait to the development and progress of Bangladesh,” said the release.
Kuwait is always ready to stand by Bangladesh in its stride towards attaining economic prosperity and the two friendly countries enjoy strong cooperation in the state-to-state level through Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development and other government organisations and people-to-people cooperation through Kuwait NGOs in Dhaka, the release added.
