19 houses gutted
A fire gutted 19 tin-shed houses at Shahidnagar Beri Bandh of Lalbagh in the city yesterday.
The fire originated from a kitchen stove broke out around 6:30pm, said locals and fire service sources.
Four units of fire fighters doused the blaze with a half an hour efforts.
Manikuzzaman, station officer of Lalbagh Fire Station, said the one-and two-storey houses were built with CI sheets and wood.
