2 women die as trains hit them

Two women were killed as trains hit them in the capital city and Chittagong yesterday. Our staff correspondent reports: An unidentified woman was killed after being hit by a Narayanganj-bound train at Kamalapur Railway Station in the city yesterday. The woman, aged around 55, fell victim to the accident while she was crossing the rail track around 10:00am, said Kamalapur railway police. She was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where she was declared dead. BSS from Chittagong adds: An unidentified young woman was killed when a shuttle train ran over her in Hamzarbug area of the district yesterday. Police said the woman was decapitated after the train ran over her at Hamzarbug level crossing at around 8:20am.
