English language fair creates enthusiasm
The English language fair being jointly organised by The Daily Star and Robi across the country was held at Bakerganj JSU High School in Bakerganj upazila of Barisal yesterday.
Over 25 students and teachers of the school were present at the fair which aims at spreading English language learning skills among secondary school level students.
Screening of a movie and different competitions, including spot quiz, vocabulary test, one-word question, extempore speech, role playing and picture description for students were held at the daylong fair with much enthusiasm.
The students entertained the audience by reciting poems, telling jokes and singing songs. Later, prizes were awarded to the event winners and an English Language Club was formed.
The school's assistant teachers, Roostom Ali Mridha and Redwan Hossain, and Adcom representatives Imran Hossain and Rashif Rahaman were present.
