3 killed in road crashes
Three people were killed and four others injured in road accidents in Munshiganj, Dinajpur and Narail early Thursday and yesterday.
Our Munshiganj correspondent says: Aziz Bangi, 70, was crushed under the wheels of a bus while he was crossing the Dhaka-Mawa Highway at Khanbari in Louhajang upazila at around 11:00am yesterday.
Following the accident, angry people vandalised five buses and blocked the highway for an hour.
Police seized the bus.
In Dinajpur, a motorcyclist Polok Saha, 32, son of late Kanak Saha, was killed and four others were injured as another motorbike collided with his bike on Birampur-Hakimpur road at Lohachara in Birampur upazila on Thursday evening.
In Narail, a motorbike hit Monu Sardar, 40, son of late Sirazul Islam, killing him on the spot on Digholia-Kumri road at Kumri Porchimpara in Lohagara upazila at around 7:30pm on Thursday.
