Folk music festival in Ctg today
The day-long Chittagong division National Folk Music Festival will be held at city's Shilpakala Academy premises today.
The festival will begin at 8:30am. Discussion meeting, seminar and cultural function will also be held on the occasion.
The festival was organised by Bangladesh Loko Sangeet Parishad and dedicated to the eminent folk music maestro Kabiyal Ramesh Shil.
Veteran lyricist of folksongs Abdul Gafur Hali will inaugurate the festival while Primary and Mass Education Minister Dr Mohammad Afsarul Ameen, MP, will attend the festival as the chief guest.
