Ashequn, Ruhul made BSS unit chief, dy chief

The Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS) unit of Dhaka Union of Journalists (DUJ) yesterday elected its new unit with Ashequn Nabi Chowdhury and Ruhul Ghani Jyoti as its chief and deputy chief for 2012-2013 year. Outgoing unit chief Ajit Kumar Sarkar and deputy chief Enamul Haque Babul handed over the charge to the new unit at a meeting, which also reiterated the demands for immediate announcement for the Eighth Wage Board for newspaper and agency journalists and employees. Members of the unit and senior journalists Azizul Islam Bhuiyan, Shamsul Alam Belal, Amirul Momenin, Omar Faruque, Sajjad Hossain Sabuj, Anup Khastagir, BFUJ leaders Utpal Datta and Ataur Rahman, DUJ leaders Modhusudan Mandal, Khairuzzaman Kamal, Barun Bhoumik, Mohammad Mujibur Rahman Jitu and Nur-e-Jannat Seema addressed the meeting.
