Juta election Dec 29
The election of Jahangirnagar University Teachers' Association (Juta) will be held on December 29.
The voting will take place from 9:00am to 1:30pm at the university club without any break to elect a 15-member executive body of the association.
Prof Abul Hossain of the Department of Physics and Dr Arju Mian of the Department of Chemistry will run for president and general secretary from the AL-backed panel.
From the same panel, Prof AA Mamun and Mujibur Rahman will contest for the posts of president and vice-president, holding the ideology of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
Sharif Uddin and Mohammad Shariful Huda will contest for the posts of general secretary and treasurer from the Nationalist Teachers' Forum (NTF) panel.
