Blood banks sealed
A mobile court sealed three unauthorised blood banks at the city's Osmani Medical College Road and Rikabibazar on Tuesday evening.
The blood banks are Trust Blood bank, Green Life Blood Bank and Unique Blood Transfusion Centre.
Executive magistrate Kaiser Mohammad Farabi who led the court said the banks were running business without licence and safety measures.
The court also fined another blood bank, Red Blood bank, Tk 15,000 for not maintaining proper records and documents.
In another drive, a team of the commerce ministry fined nine restaurants, fast food shop and a grocery store Tk 1 lakh.
