Three fishermen kidnapped
Robbers kidnapped three fishermen along with two trawlers and a boat at Sundarbans (eastern zone) at Tambulbunia of Sharonkhola upazila early yesterday.
A fisherman said a gang of 10-12 armed robbers of Sohrab Bahini attacked fishermen leaving them injured when they were catching fish.
They also looted fish and nets and kidnapped three fishermen along with the trawlers and boat demanding a ransom of Tk 1.50 lakh.
Divisional Forest Officer Mihir Kumar Dey said they were trying to rescue the kidnapped fishermen.
