17 hurt in student-hawker clash
Around 17 people, including a policeman, were injured as hawkers and some alleged activists of Bangladesh Chhatra League clashed in New Market area of the port city yesterday.
The injured are police Sub-inspector Nezam Uddin, six BCL activists of Government City College, and at least 10 hawkers. Nezam was admitted to Chittagong College Hospital.
The clash erupted between the two groups over the price of a pair of pants.
