Road crashes kill 5
Five people, including two college students, were killed and two others injured in separate road accidents in Jhenidah, Barguna, Pabna and Satkhira early Monday and yesterday.
Our Jhenidah correspondent reports: Two college students were killed and another was injured as a truck rammed their motorbike at Bachpara in Kaliganj upazila yesterday morning.
The deceased are Sadhon Kumar Das, 19, son of Subol Kumar Das, and Kaushik Kumar Das, 19, son of Bishno Kumar Das.
Our Patuakhali correspondent says: A motorcycle hit Soyan Chandra, 5, son of Sonjoy Chandra, at Noli Kheyaghat Bazar in Patharghata upazila of Barguna at about 10:00am yesterday, killing him on the spot.
In Pabna, auto-rickshaw driver Dulal Fakir, 38, son of Hyder Ali, died instantly as a three-wheeler collided with the vehicle on Dhaka-Pabna highway at Chakla point in Sathia upazila.
In Satkhira, Rabiul Islam, 25, son of Khorshed Alam, was killed and two others were injured as two engine-run vans collided on Kaliganj-Munshiganj road near Amtala intersection in Kaliganj upazila on Monday night.
Injured Rozina Khatun, 23, and Mir Sabur Ali, 50, were admitted to Kaliganj Upazila Health Complex.
