Mohajir committee urges govt
Bangladesh Mohajir Welfare Development Committee (BMWDC) demanded the government to immediately ensure their fundamental rights like habitation and healthcare facilities.
They said though the ruling party assured to ensure their education, habitation and healthcare facilities before the last general election, they are still living in inhuman conditions in different camps.
The BMWDC leaders were speaking at a meeting at its Old Dhaka office on Thursday where it was decided to form a central committee on March 2.
BMWDC President Awaz Ahmed Siddiqui, Salahuddin of Jeneva camp, BMWDC acting president Shahzada Selim and Abdul Kuddus Shaon of Mirpur addressed the meeting.
