Top criminal killed in Tangail
Mamun Miah, 35, a top listed criminal in Tangail, was murdered by a gang of unidentified miscreants in the Godown Bazar area in the town yesterday evening.
Police said the miscreants killed Mamun with sharp weapons. He was rushed to the Tangail General Hospital in critical condition where doctors declared him dead.
Nazrul Islam, officer-in-charge (OC) of Tangail Police Station, said Mamun was the chief of Mantu-Mamun group in the town. He was wanted in a dozen of criminal cases, including murders.
