Police pick-up van catches fire
A district police pick-up van caught fire in Garibullah Shah Mazar area of the port city yesterday.
Fire service sources said the fire had originated from a short circuit of the battery-run vehicle at around 9:00am and soon engulfed the whole van.
Two fire fighting units rushed to the spot and doused the blaze at around 9:30am.
The damage was estimated at about Tk 4 lakh.
