Protesting desecration of the Holy Quran
I am writing this letter to protest the burning of the Holy Quran on 20.02.12 by the US troops in Afghanistan. It is very shameful to watch such news in the international media.
Hurting the feelings of billions of Muslims worldwide is absolutely disgracing. What is even more unfortunate is the fact that when we (Muslims) protest such heinous activities, we are labelled as terrorists. The Muslims consider the Bible also holy and there was never any instance of it being desecrated this way. When NATO soldiers rape innocent women, torture innocent men and bombard and paralyse innocent children, we never heard of similar outrageous act by any Muslim. Then why is it being different in the case of the Holy Quran?
I request all to protest against this heinous act, because it is wrong and our beloved Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) taught us to always protest the wrong. May Allah Subhanuwataa'la guide us all to the straight humble path.
