Students blockade road in Ctg
Students of BGC Trust University Bangladesh blockaded the Bahodderhat-Karnaphuli third bridge connecting road in Rahatterpul area of the port city yesterday for one and half an hour protesting police assault on some of their friends.
Commuters suffered much as hundreds of vehicles got stuck in a gridlock on both sides of the busy road.
Students said they put up the barricades on the road after seven students, including a female one, were hurt as a few plain-clothes policemen swooped on them following a trifle incident.
