Indian air chief arrives today
Indian Air Chief Marshal NAK Browne leaves New Delhi today for Dhaka on a four-day official visit to Bangladesh aimed at bolstering defence cooperation.
During the visit to reinforce defence ties, the air chief will call on President Zillur Rahman and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, said a statement issued by the Indian Defence Ministry yesterday.
Browne would also meet the chiefs of three services Gen Md Abdul Mubeen, chief of the Army Staff, Air Marshal SM Ziaur Rahman, chief of the Air Staff and Vice Admiral Zahir Uddin Ahmed, chief of the Naval Staff to discuss a wide range of bilateral issues on the ongoing defence cooperation between the two countries and outline further areas of defence co-operation as part of broader military engagements, said the statement.
