Worker dies after falling from truck
A transport worker died after falling from his truck at Mirpur-1 roundabout early yesterday.
Mohammad Zafar, 18, son of Mohammad Shahjahan, hailed from Lalmohan in Bhola district.
Witnesses said when the truck took a turn at the roundabout before Sony Cinema Hall Zafar fell onto the road from it around 3:30pm, resulting in critical injuries to him.
He was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where doctors declared him dead.
SI Abdul Latif of Mirpur Police Station told The Daily Star that the driver of the truck drove his vehicle towards Mirpur-10 leaving Zafar behind.
An UD case has been filed with the police.
