Asia Cup champion through cheating?
The deliberate blocking and preventing Mahmudullah from taking a second run in the first ball of the final over, as reported by the staff reporter of a local English daily on March 25 is a disgraceful and inexcusable act by the Pakistan bowler Aziz Cheema!
BCB should take up the appeal with the ACC. I would also request our TV channels, that this incident be shown again so that we can all clearly see this unsporting act of the accused Pakistani cricketer!
It is in the fitness of things that the Pakistani cricketers were accused of taking bribe and were jailed for their criminal activities in international cricket! Under the circumstances, we should refuse to play in Pakistan, and tell PCCB in strong language that we will not allow this Cheema to play against us at any venue anywhere.
It is a shame and dishonour for Pakistan that its cricketers including the earlier captain were accused and jailed for taking bribe! It seems that they have still not got out of their criminal mindset!
Late A. H. Kardar, Pakistan's first cricket captain will be restless in his grave. I remember playing against him, in friendly weekend cricket in Chittagong, way back in 1948-49! In the fitness of things, BCCB should ban this Cheema from playing international cricket!
