Thinking out of the box
We completely agree with Pilgrim's letter that was published in The Daily Star. When people are thinking of living in other planets, we criticize people who live abroad.
Also we want to add that people who migrate to other countries to earn their living definitely have contributions to the economy of the country. People who go abroad and do research works have contribution. There are brilliant professionals (both young and experienced) who join different sectors abroad, prove their efficiencies in respective fields and enhance the reputation of the country.
We have to understand that we are in a global village. We can not remain stagnant. Indian professionals are now scattered in every corner of the world and are contributing a lot in fields like IT, education, business, corporate governance, HR, law, media and advertisement, films, you name it.
It has been difficult to find an example where Non-resident Indians' have not reached yet. If you visit world's top renowned universities you will find Indian teacher working as Deans of top schools there. So it is time, we thought out of the box and stopped making baseless criticism.
