‘Ensure orphans’ basic rights’
Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid yesterday urged philanthropists and well-off people to come forward to help the orphans improve their lifestyle and ensure their basic rights.
“Orphans are among the most vulnerable people in any society. They are the most helpless among the helpless people. We should not forget that they have every right to lead a decent life as human being,” he told the inaugural session of a training course in the city.
Bangladesh National Commission for Unesco under the Education Ministry in collaboration with ISESCO (Islamic Educational and Scientific and Cultural Organisation) Headquarters and ISESCO Regional Office organised the four-day training course on the Educational Qualification Supervisors of Institutions for Orphans at Banbeis Bhaban.
