2 boys crushed under truck wheels
Two teenage boys on a bicycle were crushed under the wheels of a rice-laden truck at the turning near Inland Container Depot of Kamalapur Railway Station in the capital's Motijheel yesterday at around 11:00pm.
Police managed to halt the fleeing vehicle near Mugda Stadium area and arrest the driver, Habibur Rahman, said Assistant Sub-Inspector Rezaul Alam of Sabujbagh Police Station.
Police said the bodies of the victims, Swapan, 16, and Mijanur Rahman, 18, of Dakkhingaon in Sabujbagh, were taken to the Dhaka Medical College morgue for autopsy.
