Govt against use of religion in politics: Azad
Information and Cultural Affairs Minister Abul Kalam Azad has said the government in Bangladesh is against the use of religion as a political weapon.
“The government is running the country upholding the principles and ideals of Islam, which is helping in maintaining friendship, peace and tolerance among all communities,” he said.
The minister was speaking at the 9th Islamic Conference of Information Ministers (ICIM) in Libreville, capital of African country Gabon, on Thursday, said an official release here yesterday.
