US Embassy official impersonator held
The Detective Branch (DB) of Chittagong Metropolitan Police arrested a man impersonating a US Embassy official in the port city on Sunday.
The arrestee, Shahidul Amin Shahid, 46, of the city's Halishahar, has been swindling money out of many city people and offices using the fake identity.
The detectives seized two false identity cards and 10 visiting cards with the logo of the US Embassy from his possession.
A team of DB police made his arrest raiding a local residential hotel.
A case was filed aganist Shahidul with Panchlaish Police Station.
