Ex-RU VC Prof Huda passes away
Prof Muslem Huda, former vice chancellor of Rajshahi University (RU), passed away at Mukti Clinic in Rajshahi city on Monday night at the age of 85. He left behind his five sons, a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn his death. Prof Huda was also a teacher of psychology department as well as philosophy department of the university. The departments will hold condolence meetings separately on his death, sources said. He was buried in Tikapara graveyard following namaz-e-janaza at Tikapara Eidgah after Zohr prayers. Prof Huda was made RU vice chancellor in 1982. He also held the posts for proctor and provost of the university. RU Vice Chancellor (VC) Prof Abdus Sobhan, pro-VC Prof Muhammad Nurullah and treasurer Prof Abdur Rahman condoled the death and prayed for the salvation of the departed soul, a press release said.
