Three killed in road accidents
Three people were killed and 15 others injured in separate road accidents in Sirajganj, Dinajpur and Thakurgaon yesterday.
Our Sirajganj Correspondent reports: A woman was killed and 15 other people were injured in a road accident at Saidabad village in Sadar upazila yesterday noon.
The deceased was identified as Rekha Khatun, 35, wife of Obaydul Islam of the same village.
A Rajshahi bound bus from Dhaka hit a truck and a van, leaving Rekha, a passenger of the van, dead on the spot and 15 passengers of the van, truck and bus injured, said police.
Our Dinajpur Correspondent adds: A man was killed in a road accident in Mirzapur area of Dinajpur town yesterday.
The victim was identified as Rajkumar Roy, 50, son of late Dhanan Chandra Roy of the same area.
A three-wheeler hit Rajkumar near his residence on Tuesday night, leaving him injured critically, police said.
He was rushed to Dinajpur Medical College Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries yesterday morning.
Our Thakurgaon Correspondent adds: A motorcyclist was killed in a collision between two motorcycles on Panchagarh-Tentulia highway at Jagdal village in Sadar uapzila of Panchagarh yesterday afternoon.
The victim was identified as Razu, 25, son of Samsul Islam of Satmera village in the same upazila, said police.
The other motorbike rider fled the scene with minor injuries.
