Stop power and water wastage
Bangladesh is suffering from power shortage not only because less power is being produced but also because we are running short of responsibility and patriotism. I found that almost in every house and office people keep the switch of fan, air cooler and electric bulb on even if there is nobody in the room. In summer, men wear suit and tie and use AC and they use it even in winter. I have been observing that street lights are on even in day time. Government employees who look after it, appear to have no responsibility in switching them off. Our education system has made us so selfish that we never consider this wastage immoral. To me this is a worse crime than stealing by a poor person. Besides electricity, water is also being wasted. It is difficult to find any office (especially government) where the water tap is not out of order and water keeps falling continuously. We never think that if our ground water is finished, what will happen to our next generation. Only our good will can save huge amount of electricity and water.
