Two murdered in C'nawabganj
Two people have been killed in separate incidents in the sadar and Nachole upazila of the district.
A man has been killed by a gang of miscreants at Taherpur village, said Golam Mortuza, the sadar police station officer-in-charge (OC).
The deceased was Mainul Islam, 45, son of Reaz Morol of Balugram village in Gomostapur upazila.
The OC said Mainul was returning his home from court by a motorbike, when he reached the area at around 4:00pm, the gang, after intercepting him, stabbed with sharp weapons, killing him instantly.
Police recovered the body from the spot on Thursday evening.
The miscreants killed him over previous enmity, said the police.
Another gang of miscreants has killed an unidentified man at Kholsi village in Nachole upazila.
Police recovered the beheaded body of the person from a mango orchard of the village yesterday morning.
