Kader vows to teach govt ways of politics

Abdul Kader Siddiqui, president of Bangladesh Krishak Sramik Janata League, yesterday said he would teach the government the ways of politics in the future. On the way law enforcement agencies treated BNP activists before the party's Naya Paltan office on April 24, Kader said he had not experienced such uncivilised politics in his long political career. The freedom fighter was addressing a discussion, “Justice, Rule of Law and Current Political Situation”, organised by Muktachinta Forum at Jatiya Press Club yesterday. Kader suggested the opposition to find an alternative to hartals as a means of protest. Bangladesh has not, by any means, achieved victory over the Bay of Bengal and the government is confusing the citizens, he added. On “disappearance” of BNP leader Ilias Ali, he said “No one's life is secure. Not even Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's if such incidents continue to occur.”
