Sergei Aleinik meets Dipu Moni
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Sergei Aleinik, called on Foreign Minister Dr Dipu Moni at her office yesterday and discussed the bilateral issues.
This is the first ever visit by a Belarus Foreign Ministry senior official to Bangladesh, as two countries celebrate two decades of establishment of diplomatic relations since 1991.
The two sides discussed potential cooperation in the areas of agriculture, especially agro machinery, higher education, culture and tourism, said a press release.
Prior to the visit of the Bangladesh foreign minister to Minsk, Belarus next month, the two leaders agreed to conclude a number of bilateral agreements to deepen the engagement between the two countries.
