Tafazzal railway's east zone new GM
Tafazzal Hossain, Bangladesh Railway general manager (GM) of west zone, yesterday was made GM of the east zone.
The east zone post fell vacant after the suspension of Yusuf Ali Mridha on charge of involvement in the cash haul scandal on the night of April 9.
The appointment came from Bangladesh Railway Additional Director General Ferdaos Alam, in-charge of the marketing and corporate planning wing.
Ministry of Railways issued separate orders in this regard.
Bangladesh Railway is divided into two zones - east and west. The GM post is very influential as they are the decision-makers in their respective zones.
