4 held with Phensidyl
Detective Branch of police yesterday arrested four alleged drug dealers and seized some 2,550 bottles of Phensidyl and two stolen cars.
The arrestees are Rezaul Islam alias Rezaul Member, 42, Abul Hossen, 43, Arif Hossen and Ansar Bhuiyan, 22.
DB police were stationed at Mirpur-10 on information that two cars loaded with Phensidyl will arrive from Jessore.
On seeing the cars, police signaled them to stop. But the arrestees swerved around the policemen and sped away. However, police gave chase and managed to catch them before Lions Eye Hospital near the capital's Agargaon.
On interrogation, Rezaul admitted that they hijacked the cars and used those to transport illegal drugs, said police.
