2 Shibir men held at RU
Police arrested two Islami Chhatra Shibir activists of Rajshahi University (RU) unit on the campus yesterday.
The arrestees were Ashikur Rahman and Aminur Rahman.
Sources said a group of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) activists caught the two while they were coming to the campus at around 2:00pm. Later, the on-duty police brought them to Motihar Police Station.
Proctor Choudhury Muhammad Zakaria said the law enforcers would take steps against them if they found any involvement in February 9, 2010 attack on the campus that killed a BCL activist Faruk Hossain.
