Death anniversary
Today is the 9th death anniversary of Rahmat Ullah Chowdhury, a freedom fighter and founder of Bangladesh Railway Sramik League, says a press release.
He was also former president of Bangladesh Railway Sramik League and Jatiya Sramik League.
On the occasion, wreaths will be placed and prayers will be offered at his grave near the mazar Hazrat Garibullah Shah (Ra) in Chittagong at 8:30am.
A discussion and milad mahfil will also be held after Asr prayers.
In Dhaka, a discussion on Rahmat's life and a milad mahfil will be held at Bangladesh Railway Sramik League's Shahjahanpur office.
