Five missing in Tanguar haor
Five persons, including two children, went missing, as two boats capsized due to violent winds in Tanguar haor of Tahirpur upazila, Sunamganj yesterday morning.
Police and Ansars along with locals searched for the victims till 6:30am, but to no avail. The rescue operation will resume this morning.
A total of eight people went for fishing in the two boats, which turned upside down in Berberia area, 15km of the upazila headquarters.
Missing are Kritish Barman, 22, Zitendra Barman, 27, and his son Sajib Barman, 11, of village Indrapur and Abdul Gani Miah, 35, and his son Abdul Hai, 7, of village Ratanpur.
The remaining three returned safely.
