100 sued over Thursday's hartal
Some 100 residents of Birganj upazila of Dinajpur, 19 of whom were identified, were sued while four others were arrested yesterday over violence during Thursday's hartal hours.
The arrestees are Md Phulmia (24), Md Babul Mia (27), Md Manik (17) and Md Shafiqul Alam (16).
The case accused hartal supporters of blocking the Panchagarh-Dhaka highway in the upazila's Shator area, burning several vehicles, tires and logs and attacking police.
