Maternity unit opens
Water Resources Minister Ramesh Chandra Sen inaugurated a 10-bed maternity unit at Kashipur Union Community Clinic in Ranishankoil upazila of the district yesterday.
The unit was set up under the project of Mother and Neonatal Health Care.
After the inauguration, a discussion was held there with upazila chairman Shahidul Islam in the chair.
Lawmaker of Thakurgaon-2 constituency Md Dabirul Islam, Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Shahiduzzaman, Civil Surgeon Dr Afzal Hossain Torafdar, president of the district unit BMA Dr Khairul Kabir also spoke at the event.
