Current net of Tk 57.75 lakh seized
Bangladesh Coast Guard (East Zone) members seized contraband current net worth Tk 57.75 lakh in Cox's Bazar on Saturday.
A patrol team of the coast guard conducted a drive in Mazhirghat area around 8:00pm and seized an engine boat and recovered 75,000 meters of current net from it, said Lieutenant Commander Atikur Rahman Bhuiyan, information officer of Bangladesh Coast Guard.
The net were burned while the boat was handed over to the upazila fisheries official, he said.
