Hold next national polls under CG
The system of conducting the parliamentary election under a caretaker government (CG) had to be reintroduced because of the demand and subsequent political pressure from Sheikh Hasina and the Awami League in the past. And now it is Sheikh Hasina who is branding this system as undemocratic.
But the High Court has given a verdict that the next parliamentary election should be held under the CG system. Now she does not want the CG system because she knows that she will not come to power if the election is held in a free and fare manner.
To save the country from anarchy and another 1/11, it will be wise for Sheikh Hasina to implement the other part of the High Court verdict and hold the next parliamentary election under a CG.
