Pedestrian dies in road crash
A pedestrian was crushed under the wheels of a bus at Bangshal in the capital yesterday.
The deceased was Giasuddin Sheikh, 50, hailed from Munshiganj and a resident of Old Dhaka.
Police said a recklessly driven bus of SA Paribahan knocked down Gias while he was crossing the road.
Police and locals rushed him to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where doctors declared him dead around 2:30pm.
