Schoolboy murdered
A schoolboy was abducted and murdered in Bhaluka upazila of Mymensingh yesterday.
The victim, Mosharraf Hossain, 15, son of Shamsul Hoque of the upazila's Bashil village, was a class nine student of Rahmate Alam Academy.
Bhaluka police said Mosharraf was abducted Thursday night.
Abductors contacted his father over the phone and demanded Tk 50,000 as ransom to set Mosharraf free, failing which the miscreants killed the boy and left the body on a field of Akhalia village in the upazila, said police.
Meanwhile, police yesterday arrested one Masud, 18, son of Shiru Miah of village Bashil, for interrogation.
