Kids' gallery in parliament!
I was alarmed to learn that a separate gallery will be constructed in the parliament exclusively for children so that they can watch parliament session live and learn its rules and regulations.
In this turbulent society, parents try very hard to keep the young minds of their children away from the elements of bad influence. Unfortunately, the bad elements are everywhere the curse words used in heated discussion on roadside tea stalls, quarrel inside a jam-packed 'local' bus or the advertisements like 'dimag ki batti jalade' or 'uski pas kar hey…' in the media -- which teach us that resorting to unfair means is the passport to quick success.
Our lawmakers have turned the 'Noble Shangsad' for hurling all kinds of expletives at one another. They indulge in sycophancy, etc., rather than sticking to parliamentary rules and regulations. I wonder any conscious parent in her/his right mind will dare take their kids anywhere near the parliament.
