UGC chairman concerned
The University Grants Commission (UGC) Chairman Prof. Dr A K Azad Chowdhury yesterday expressed deep concern over the so-called foreign university branches that reportedly deceived students by selling certificates in the name of Cross Border Higher Education (CBHE).
Prof Azad is also optimistic about putting an end to the CBHE stalemate and recognising the quality institutions with the approval of a draft guideline that the commission sent to the Ministry of Education.
He made this observation at a view exchange meeting with the representatives of six tuition centres of University of London.
