Three killed in road crashes
Three people were killed in separate road accidents in Tangail and Brahmanbaria on Monday and yesterday.
Our Tangail correspondent reports: Two people were killed instantly when a covered van crushed them under its wheels while they were standing beside Dhaka-Tangail road at Nagar Jalpai in the sadar upazila yesterday.
The deceased were Setu Miah, 25, of the district and Babu Lal, 30, of Dinajpur.
In Brahmanbaria, motorcyclist Md Ashiqur Rahman, 30, was killed as his motorbike crashed into a tree beside Lalpur Road at Lamabayek village in Ashuganj upazila on Monday night.
He succumbed to his injuries on the way to Brahmanbaria Sadar Hospital.
