Polytechnic teachers call off work abstention
Teachers of polytechnic institute have withdrawn their pre-announced work abstention programmes following a meeting with the government.
The teachers under the banner of Bangladesh Polytechnic Teachers Association (BPTA) and Bangladesh Polytechnic Teachers Council yesterday sat with the officials of education ministry about their demands at the ministry's conference room.
Earlier, they announced to go for work abstention at the state-run polytechnic institutes from June 2 to June 7 to press home their 8-point demand, including resolving the crisis of teachers in the institutes.
