Fake doctor fined in Ctg
A mobile court fined a fake doctor Tk 1 lakh for treating people without having certificate from Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council (BMDC) in the port city yesterday.
Sources said introducing himself as a specialist doctor R K Chowdhury have been practicing at a pharmacy in Kamal Bazar area in Mohara under Chandgaon Police Station.
The mobile court led by executive magistrate of Chittagong District Administration, Juthika Sarkar, in association with the officials of Civil Surgeon Office, Chittagong and members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) conducted the drive in the area at around 1:00pm.
The court fined R K Chowdhury as he failed to show any certificate from BMDC, the sources added.
