Youth gets life for possessing heroin
A court sentenced a youth to life term imprisonment and fined Tk 5,000 in default to which to suffer three months more, for possessing 100 grams of heroin.
The District and Sessions Judge, Md Mizanur Rahman, on Tuesday pronounced the verdict against Dilal alias Zilal of Adua village in Jagannathpur upazila of Sunamganj.
On January 12 last year, Rab men held Dilal before Bharthokhola mosque market in the city and recovered the heroin from his possession, according to the prosecution.
Later, a case was filed with Kotwali Police Station.
